Bucket drummers

Some really good drumming came from 5-gallon pails tied to ropes. The very best drumbeat was from a huge drum mounted on wheels which rolled down the street with us when we marched to the Naval Yard. By that time, I think we were all a little tired, and the big simple beat from the drum actually seemed to provide energy. That’s the first time I’ve experienced that.
