Korean drummers

These drummers are Korean, and they were a beautiful sight and sound as they demonstrated for the removal of US troops from Korea and unification with the North. I didn't get the gist of their message on the day of the march; their position was explained to me by Dianne Mathiowetz, who emailed to fill me in. (Thank you!) This points out something great about this whole experience: Sue and I learned about it over the internet, direct from the organizers, and we’re still learning about it over the internet, direct from the participants. This beats the heck out of TV news — this is people sharing information with each other directly. This is being neighborly on a global scale. Several people have written to comment on this little collection of snapshots. In our small town, there’s a followup meeting next Monday night to talk about the experience of going to Washington. This is grassroots, and heartfelt, and it’s so encouraging to see!
