Rally at the Capitol

The rally started at 11am on the west side of Capitol Building, and continued until late afternoon, when the crowd left the grounds and marched across town to the U.S. Naval Yard. Speakers at the rally included Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Ramsey Clark, Ron Kovic, Patti Smith, and many others. The backdrop of the gleaming white Capitol Building was a beautiful sight with a sea of people before it.
